George W. DuRant has been a South Carolina-licensed Certified Public Accountant since 1975. Based in Columbia, South Carolina, he provides a range of services to clients throughout the state. He is a frequent expert witness in commercial litigation involving accounting principles, ethics, insolvency, lost profits damages, and business valuation. In forensic accounting, he focuses on reliably and credibly communicating quantitative information at trial.
George has authored and co-authored articles for numerous publications, including South Carolina Lawyer and The CPA Report. He holds accreditations in business valuation and financial forensics from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and is an accredited senior member of the American Society of Appraisers. Currently, George is one of 36 CPAs from across the nation serving on the AICPA's Joint Trial Board, which is responsible for adjudicating alleged violations of the AICPA's bylaws and Code of Professional Conduct.
