George is a Certified Public Accountant who specializes in forensic accounting. George does not perform bookkeeping services for clients; he does not prepare financial statements or prepare tax returns for clients; but he does examine accounting ledgers and related documents to paint a comprehensive picture of financial and accounting issues for juries. George approaches each engagement with the objective of communicating abstract quantitative information at trial.
George has been a South Carolina-licensed Certified Public Accountant since 1975. He has consulted and testified in commercial disputes involving accounting principles, professional ethics, insolvency, lost profits, taxation, business valuation, and other financial issues.
George has authored and co-authored articles for numerous publications, including South Carolina Lawyer and The CPA Report. He holds accreditations in business valuation and financial forensics from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and is an Accredited Senior Member of the American Society of Appraisers. George previously served a 6-year term on the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ Joint Trial Board, the board responsible for adjudicating alleged violations of the AICPA’s bylaws and Code of Professional Conduct by CPAs.
George’s full curriculum vitae is available on request by qualified attorneys and their clients.
